Historique :	L'inscription Ch. Diet peintre 1854 indique que le tabernacle a été repeint à cette date, vraisemblablement lors de son installation dans l'église de Mauzé-sur-le-Mignon ; une tradition orale veut que ce tabernacle provienne de l'église Notre-Dame de Niort, et si cela était, ce meuble serait du début du 18e siècle ; en effet, Joseph Brossard avait reçu commande en 1721 d'un tabernacle pour cette église de Niort.
