Description :	Chêne renforcé de pattes en tôle découpée. Ce coffre très simple est un parallélépipède droit rectangle, monté sur quatre pieds en bois tourné en boule. Les ais sont renforcés de pentures, d'encoignures et de pattes en tôle épaisse découpée et forgée. Le couvercle plat à abattant pivote sur deux charnières à broche dont les pattes sont fixées à l'intérieur du meuble pour raison de sécurité, et se rabat sur le grand côté. Il se verrouille par deux grosses serrures intérieures (hauteur : 15 cm, largeur : 7, 7 cm, épaisseur : 4 cm, largeur de la têtière : 4 cm) et dont les clefs sont malheureusement perdues. A l'extérieur, les entrées de serrure sont en tôle forte découpée, maintenues en place par quatre clous. Sur chacune des faces latérales, une poignée, cylindrique, rabattante en fer forgé, permet la prise facile et le transport du coffre.
